MM Cartridges

MM (Moving Magnet) cartridges are the most common type of cartridge. As the name suggests, a magnet (attached to the cantilever) moves within the coils of wire contained within the cartridge body.

The benefit of most MM cartridges is that the stylus can easily be replaced (or upgraded, depending upon the manufacturer), they also produce a high output ready to be connected to almost any phono stage input.
