The Kegon Balanced are monoblock power amplifiers using a pair of 300B directly heated triodes in parallel single ended configuration. They are currently the highest level amplifier that Audio Note make where the valves are contained completely within the cases, making them ideal for uses who do not want exposed tubes. As you'd expect of an amplifier at this level the component quality is exceptional.

From the input, the XLR socket connects to a balanced input transformer which then feeds a VT25/10Y valve, which ultimately, via an interstage transformer drives the 300B output tubes. There are no signal capacitors in the signal path, with silver wired transformers fundamentally doing the heavy lifting and producing a circuit that on paper is as simple and elegant as can be. Of course the transformer quality is critical, there's nowhere to hide in such a high resolution circuit, but naturally the physical design, wire and materials have been very carefully chosen by Audio Note to work with one another.

The power amplifier can be run from both a balanced signal or from a single ended connection with the appropriate cable.
