The M10 Signature is the top pre amplifier from Audio Note, it is a line level only design so vinyl users would need to partner it with an appropriate phono stage. It's a state of the Audio Note art design, with no stone left unturned in the pursuit of producing a true Reference design.
The pre amplifier is split into three enclosures, the 'smaller' box contains the audio stages, the other two contain the very substantial Galahad Power supplies, one per channel.
2 balanced and 4 single line level inputs are provided, and there's a choice of connecting the pre amplifiers output either by balanced or single ended output sockets, both fed from an exceptional silver wired 55% iron C core transformer .
The pre amplifier uses a pair of mono stepped attenuators, which also allows a degree of balance adjustment. The active part of the pre amplifier uses two dual triode valves, hard wired on the impregnated wood boards and coupled where necessary with pure silver foil in oil capacitors.
The power supplies are sophisticated and utilise a substantial valve rectified and shunt regulated supply with the obvious aim of divorcing the vagaries of the incoming mains whilst also offering consistence output impedance throughout the audio range.
For the lucky few who are able to own an M10 Signature they can be sure that they have one of the very finest pre amplifiers ever produced.
