The M2 Balanced pre amplifier is available in two versions, one with a phono stage (M2 Phono Balanced) and one with only line level inputs (M2 Line Balanced).
Common to both is pair of 5814a dual triodes used in the output stage, which drive the output transformers producing either a balanced or single ended output as required for your system.
The Phono version adds an MM phono input which uses an ECC83 and 6DJ8.
The valve-rectified power supply found in both versions uses a 6X5 rectifier and an ECL82 for regulation.
The inputs on all line connections are by RCA (single ended), it is only the output connection that is balanced (and that is primarily offered as one of the side benefits of the transformer output coupled output stage).
