The P1SE is the entry level single ended power amplifier in the Audio Note range. The design uses a pair of EL84 valves per channel that run in parallel and are fed from ECC83 dual triodes. This power amplifier is similar in design to the Oto SE integrated amplifier.

As is key with a single ended amplifier the transformers have been very carefully specified and made allowing the amplifier to produce well extended and controlled bass that's often missing from many lesser valve amplifiers.

The signal path capacitors used are the Audio Note tinfoil in oil models. 

A volume control on the fascia allows both fine tuning of overall gain (very useful when the amplifier is combined with very high efficiency speakers and/or a high gain pre amplifier) as well as allowing volume control of a single source.
