The P3 Tonmeister Silver Signature is the top performance level of the P3 amplifier and features very high performance parts to really exploit this wonderfully simple circuit. This substantial stereo power amplifier is in an enclosed chassis with a topology is similar to the power amplifier section of the Meishu Tonmeister Silver Signature and as such presents a defining shift in performance over the original non Tonmeister version. 

A 5687 and ECC82 are capacitor coupled together and feed the 300B directly heated triode output valve via an interstage transformer. The result is a deceptively simple purist circuit which owes a lot to Audio Notes ability to custom wind transformers to very precise specifications.

The power supply is intentionally kept simple with a single 5U4G valve rectifier used combined with choke smoothing.  

Component quality is uplifted over the 'Silver' version with the use of even higher grade interstage and output transformers along with higher grade mains transformer and choke. These are then combined with upgraded electrolytic capacitors, resistors, a stepped attenuator in place of the potentiometer and with some upgraded internal wiring.

The fascia mounted volume control is useful to act as a gain control when using very efficient speakers and/or a high gain pre amplifier, naturally it can also be used as a volume control when using a single source too.
