The Clearway USB is the second step up in the Chord range of USB cables. The design has benefitted from a substantial amount of development work on the screening of the conductors.
To this end a double foil and high density braid helping to prevent unwanted noise from corrupting the signal (and also help prevent the signal radiating out of the cable). The signal conductors are silver plated copper and the conductors are gold plated
Compared to Chords own C-USB cable the sound is cleaner and more transparent, a layer of grain/noise having disappeared resulting in improved resolution of fine detail. This cable is perfect for mid level hi-fi applications.
