Edwards Audio Apprentice MM Phono Stage

The Apprentice phono stage is a firm favourite here, as it offers exceptional 'giant killer' performance at a remarkably reasonable price.

Hand made in the UK, it is housed in a smart acrylic box. The circuitry is derived from the more expensive Edwards Audio phono stages - combining the same passive & active equalisation and surface mount technology for ultra short signal paths. Importantly the phono stage features a high quality linear internal power supply (not the inferior and noisy switch mode designs found in many other budget phono stages), and being contained within the case makes it a neat solution and there's no wall wart supply to lose either!

I can highly recommend this phono stage, I think it's an absolute bargain for the sound quality it produces  - I've not heard anything that gets close to its performance at this price level. It has a sound that is very well resolved but never tiring or difficult to listen to, and has quickly established itself as our reference budget phono stage. .

This model is in a black finish as standard, but we can also supply it in other colours as a no cost option including Red, Grey, Green, Blue and White to order (there would be a short lead time for these finishes).
