Musical Fidelity M5si Integrated Amplifier

The M5si is a potent integrated amplifier which has the combined power and current capability to drive almost any loudspeaker easily.

A key to the internal design is how the circuit board is laid out, which is effectively like a pre and two monoblocks on the one PCB and benefits from some of the techniques used in the Nu-Vista 800. This helps ensure an outstanding signal to noise ratio and channel separation, along with sound design practices for low distortion and an extremely flat frequency response.  

There's a great range on inputs too, there's an MM phono input, 4 line level inputs and a USB-B connection too, and there's a well featured remote control too of course.

Build quality and fit and finish is exemplary, as you'd expect from Musical Fidelity, and even the niceties of white gloves and a cleaning cloth shows how much thought has gone into the whole product.

The sound is classic Musical Fidelity, with bold and potent (but never inappropriate) well extended low frequencies, a wide stereo image and an open yet refined top end.
