The Cadenza series is the second level of MC cartridges from Ortofon, and this Red model is the starting point within the range.
It uses a Nude (one piece) Fine Line diamond mounted on an aluminium cantilever, with high purity silver coils. The compact body is made from a combination of stainless steel and aluminium which serve to damp one another producing a relatively lightweight and extremely rigid housing.
Sonically it's perhaps doesn't have the giant slaying abilities of the Quintet Black S, or the dearer Cadenza Blue, but it's a great starting point into the world of the Cadenza cartridges. 

As MC cartridges do not have removable stylus assemblies Ortofon have an 'exchange' scheme where your old worn/damaged Ortofon MC cartridge is used as a credit against any other Ortofon MC cartridge.
