Record brushes have been fairly similar for the last 3-4 decades, with most designs looking alike. There's nothing wrong with that of course, but Ortofon started from scratch and employed the Danish Industrial design consultants "Møller Jensen Innovation and Design" to come up with a fresh take on the product (the same company are responsible for quite a few of the Ortofon cartridge body designs too).
The result is both striking to look at and really nice to use. Two rows of soft carbon fibre bristles make it ideal for normal dry day to day dust removal. The handle is comfortable to hold and the translucent red sleeve protects the brush when not in use
