This model, the GTX E, has an Elliptical diamond profile.
Working hand in hand with transformer specialists Lundahl, Ortofon have developed a new housing to accommodate the transformers from a glassfibre reinforced co-polymer never used before in SPU production.
The GTX cartridges will mount into any SME style headshell bayonet, but please note that they are about 10gm heavier than the other models without internal step up transformers, resulting in a weight of 38gm.
