Pro-Ject Aluminium Sub-Platter

Made from diamond cut aluminium, this is a precision made sub platter that is made to very fine tolerances which will improve speed stability (reducing wow and flutter) and accuracy whilst reducing noise. The additional mass (it weighs 700g) also further helps with speed stability (by reducing dynamic wow) and will have a positive effect on low frequency performance, and the low resonance of the material helps elsewhere in the frequency range. The hardened steel bearing shaft is made to a similarly high quality for low noise and friction. During installation we would ideally recommend adding a drop of suitable oil to the stainless steel shaft to replace that that comes out with the original sub platter, with Pro-Jects own Lube-It being ideal (not included, but available in our ebay shop). This is an easy DIY item to fit, simply lift the old sub platter out and drop the new one in.
