This record weight is the same one that comes with the 'Dark Side of the Moon' turntable, but it can be used on a wide variety of turntables where it is both functional as well as looking stunning! It's made from glass and will fit on spindles shorter than 13mm in height (please do check this before ordering)
Record pucks/weights work in a similar way to a record clamp, only using the weight of the puck to hold the record down onto the platter, as opposed to an actual record clamp, which is pushed onto the record and then tightened (clamped) to the spindle. This glass record weight ensures a firm fit between the record and the turntable, helping to reduce some warps of the record and in some instances may improve sound quality too.
Please be aware that this may not be suitable for some suspended turntables due to its weight.
