The Pick it MC9 is the current top of the range cartridge from Pro-Ject. It has been developed to produce a detailed and dynamic sound with an ear to getting the best results from Jazz and Classical music.
The stylus is a Pro-Ject exclusive profile that they call a Special-Elliptical, which is based on a super fine-line shape. This profile digs deep into the record groove for excellent detail retrieval.
The stylus is bonded on a cryogenically treated aluminium cantilever and combined with 99.9999% pure copper coils. The magnet assembly uses ARMCO TELAR 57 pole pieces. All of this is contained within an Aluminium body whose shape makes for easy alignment and is combined with tapped threads for easy mounting into a tonearm. A stylus guard is included for when it's not in use.
