Pro-ject Primary E Turntable

The Primary E is arguably the starting point for getting on the hi-fi turntable ladder, as it offers a lot of performance at a very low price.

In many ways it's designed around the Ortofon OM5S cartridge, which comes prefitted and setup, so all you have to do is plug it into a suitable MM phono input (the cables are captive at the turntable end) and you'll be up and running in no time. 

The matte black plinth and hinged/lift off dust cover look smart and its compact dimensions doesn't take up much space either. A stainless steel main bearing is used to ensure it will last for many years.

The AC motor drives the platter via a belt, with a manual speed change of 33.3 and 45 rpm. The 8.6" long aluminium tubed tonearm has sapphire bearings for low friction too, which is a pleasant surprise at this price point.
