Pro-Ject Turntable Drive Belt Speed Key

The Pro-Ject Speed Key is a simple device supplied with all Pro-Ject turntables that allows you to switch the drive belt from one pulley-rung to another without having to touch the drive belt. Switching the rung of a pulley changes the platter rotation speed from 331/3 RPM to 45 RPM, but frequently handling the drive belt is claimed can cause it to degrade more quickly - so the speed key reduces this risk. It also easily allows the drive belts position to be changed on turntables where access is limited from the sides.
