Pro-Ject VC-E2 Vacuum Record Cleaning Machine

Wet vacuum cleaning records can make a massive difference, we clean all of the LPs we sell in store along with customers collections this way and you wouldn't believe the amount of dirt that these sorts of machines can remove from an LP. If you have a large collection, or regularly purchase used LPs then this sort of machine can soon pay for itself in increased enjoyment.

This, the VC-E2, is the smallest cleaning machine from Pro-Ject. Compared to its bigger brother it's easier to accommodate thanks to a smaller liquid tank 0.5L. Over its predecessors it features improvements including a smart new case design, fast magnetic clamping, an improved exhaust vent design, improved felt strips and a new pre mixed fluid.

Boasting a striking 5mm thick composite aluminium surface that’s not only visually appealing but is able to withstand excessive fluid spills without compromising the chassis, the VC-E2 houses a powerful vacuum motor to clean records, residue free, in as little as one or two rotations. The very best results are achieved with one rotation forward, followed by one backwards, and at a rotational speed of 30rpm this is a very speedy process. A magnetic clamp protects the record label from cleaning fluid and avoids damage to the label. The robust metal arm is easy to use, mechanically stable and focuses all suction power directly onto the record surface.

The VC-E2 is supplied with Pro-Ject’s own eco-friendly, non-alcohol based pre mixed vinyl cleaning, the Wash-IT2. It offers very good cleaning results and reduces static charge, so record wear and stylus wear are significantly reduced. It also evaporates in the air, dramatically reducing the number of times you need to empty the built-in 0.5L waste liquid tank. Please note that like all high vacuum record cleaning machines these are noisy in use (after all it has two very powerful motors, one to spin the LP and the other to vacuum it dry), but to counter this each LP only requires a few seconds of the vacuum motor running per clean.

As standard the VC-E2 is designed for use with 12" records only, but a 7" adaptor kit is available separately.

It is supplied with a 100ml bottle of their pre mixed Wash-It2 non-alcohol based cleaning fluid and a brush for spreading the fluid.
