Rega Fono Mini A2D mk2 MM Phono Stage with USB output

The Fono Mini A2D V2 is Rega's entry level MM phono stage. This design incorporates an analogue to digital convertor and USB output as well as conventional analogue RCA sockets (no RCA cable included), so it can be used directly into your computer for making recordings, or conventionally into your hifi system via the RCA 'phono' sockets of a line level input (i.e. CD or Aux input). It's an award winning design (What Hi-Fi) and sonically superb for the price.

The V2 version is a facelifted revision, featuring a new gloss fascia and a relocation of the ground/earth post for easier use. Sonically and operationally it is identical to the original version.

Unlike many other USB phono stages a level control is provided so you can set the optimum output level for making the best of your LP recordings. It comes in a nicely extruded black aluminium case and is very well made as you’d expect from this vinyl specialist company (and in the UK too!). Power comes from an external mains supply (included) to ensure noise is kept low. The unit measures a diminutive 11 x 10 x 3 cm and is suitable for use with any Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge or high output Moving Coil (but not low/standard MCs) and comes with a plug top linear power supply ('wall wart').
