We have taken this Mira 3 amplifier in part exchange to help a customer upgrade. This is an excellent amplifier, we sold it originally and are delighted to be able to sell it again!
The Mira 3 is still a superb amplifier, easily able to compete against contemporary designs in the £500 region. As you'd probably expect from Rega the sound is rich but well balanced, it's fun, it times well, and is just a simple joy to listen to. It has a very good MM phono stage too (as you'd probably expect from Rega!)
Please note that the volume control indication of the Mira, the circle of lights around the volume knob, has more of a linear progression than a logarithmic one, meaning that the lights will be further around than you'd expect for a given volume, this doesn't mean it's a lacking in power (it's rated at 60 watts RMS per channel), it's just a control that gives you very fine progression when you need it.
Naturally the amplifier has been checked over thoroughly in our service department and also auditioned before giving it a clean bill of health. There are some light cosmetic marks which I've done my best to photograph, I do not think they're intrusive so I would conservatively rate the cosmetic condition at approximately 7/10. It comes with a 6 month warranty and a remote control. We do not have the manual or the original packaging, but we can suitably box it for shipping within the UK.
