The Rega RB78 is a special cartridge for playing 78rpm records only. This cartridge features two terminals for mono. You may need to modify your headshell wiring to connect it (i.e. join the left and right positive and left and right negative together to reproduce the sound on both channels of a stereo system). These cartridges are all hand built in the UK.
This cartridge comes 'retail packed' in a rigid plastic box and is supplied with mounting hardware including allen key and instructions.
Please note that this cartridge is quite short in height compared to many other cartridges, so care should be taken to ensure the arm height is appropriate for getting the best results from it.
The RB78 does not have a replaceable stylus assembly, however Rega offer a rebuild service where they build a new cartridge within a used casing. The normal time for this to be done is about 2 weeks.
